Some of you may have noticed my recent conspicuous absence from the Friday Breakfast Clubs and General Meetings. It was due to an ‘old man’ health issue and following treatment I am happy to report I’m on the mend! The work of the Board and its Committees continued smoothly despite my absence thanks to the other board members and several CEC members who took care of business and kept the Club in full swing! I’m continually impressed in all that they do and hope you’ll take the opportunity to personally thank them for their participation in making the Club the best its ever been!
I’m looking forward to presiding at our next General Meeting with what promises to be a very interesting presentation by Rebecca Weldon entitled ‘Who Are We?’. I hope many of you will be able to attend and learn about the peoples, cultures and languages of the local region and better understand the rich interchange at this historical crossroad in which we live.
Many of you have already bought your tickets for our first annual Pig Roast and Bar-B-Que! Tickets are still available so please consider joining us to make this a successful and enjoyable event at a truly unique resort.
